Otherwise, I think this is an excellent product. And if I want to use my Dragon NaturallySpeaking, I need to make sure I do not try to open the program at the same time I have the Digital Voice Editor running. This just means I have to use the Digital Voice Editor 3 when I want to transfer the recordings to my computer. I got my voice to text program to work after getting out of the program and rebooting the computer. Second, the program that comes with the device conflicts with Dragon NaturallySpeaking. But I can access the device through the program provided to transfer it to my computer. First, when I plug it into my computer, I am not able to see it as an external hard drive. There are a couple aspects that I do not like about the device. I am able to record much more on this recorder as well. The power drain on this recorder is much less than the Panasonic version I had gotten used to. To my surprise, I am able to use the MP3 files it produces with my Dragon NaturallySpeaking program. This Sony Digital Voice Recorder filled the job. When it went kaput, I searched eBay for one that I could replace it with. I have used a Panasonic voice recorder for the last four years and have enjoyed using it. The device worked better than I had expected.
